Parliamentary Questions

Question On Notice No. 325 asked in the Legislative Council on 24 August 2017 by Hon Martin Aldridge

Question Directed to the: Leader of the House representing the Premier
Parliament: 40 Session: 1

Question

I refer to the contribution of the Hon Samantha Rowe to the second reading debate on the Supply Bill 2017 in the Legislative Council on 28 June 2017, and I ask:

(a) when will the $50,000 election commitment by the WA Labor Party to construct barbecue facilities at Selby Park Redcliffe be delivered;
(b) what is the final cost of the project;
(c) how many local jobs will be created by the project;
(d) will the project consist solely of locally manufactured products and, if not, what will be the portion of local content in the project;
(e) what is the cost benefit ratio for the project; and
(f) will the Minister table the business case for the project?
Answered on 12 October 2017

(a)-(f) The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is supporting the Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier to oversee the Local Projects Local Jobs program. DPC understands the Department of Communities is currently liaising with the City of Belmont and the office of the Member for Belmont to develop an appropriate proposal for the provision of barbecue facilities to deliver the most effective outcome and efficient use of funds for the community.
