PILBARA PORTS AUTHORITY —
ODYSSEY MARINE
1049. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the Minister for Ports:
I
have a legitimate question without notice, and it is directed to that top shelf
McGowan minister, the Minister for Ports.
I
refer to the management of commercial documents relating to the Pilbara Ports
Authority and Odyssey Marine, the subject of my questions of 4 to 18
September inclusive. Can the minister guarantee that those documents, or their
contents or substance, were not disclosed to any current or former member of the
Maritime Union of Australia?
Hon
ALANNAH MacTIERNAN replied:
As I have made very clear, and as I say
again, I consider, as a minister who has responsibility for the agency, that I do have a responsibility to look at complaints
about the operations of agencies and to properly investigate them. As I said,
the documents that were obtained from the Pilbara Ports Authority were handed
directly to the State Solicitor's Office and to no-one else.
