Question

I refer to Toodyay Road within the Shire of Toodyay, and I ask:
(a) how much of the $2.2 million allocated in 2017-18 has been expended;
(b) please detail how these funds have been spent or are allocated to be spent;
(c) to what extent is the project informed by the December 2015 Wheatbelt Safety Review report;
(d) what is the total cost and scope of the required Toodyay Road improvements within the Shire of Toodyay; and
(e) with reference to (d), how much of these improvements are currently budget funded?

Answered on 10 April 2018

(a) $1.25 million has been expended as of the end of February 2018.

(b) The $2.2 million is for project development activities.

(c) The Wheatbelt Safety Review recommended outcomes have been incorporated into the project development work for upgrades on Toodyay Road.

(d) The estimated cost of proposed upgrades is $87 million and the scope includes a number of overtaking lanes, shoulder and seal widening, realignments and intersection improvements.

(e) Funding for this project will be considered as part of future budgetary processes.
