Parliament: 40 Session: 1

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AUTHORITY — GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS

686. Hon PETER COLLIER to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:

I refer to question without notice 667 asked on Tuesday, 25 June 2019.

(1) What is the position of the person in the Premier's office who received the advice?

(2) What did the person do with the advice upon receiving the information?

(3) Did the person discuss the issue with anyone; and, if so, on what date and with whom did the person discuss the issue?

(4) Did this person have any discussions with any person in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, the office of the Minister for Environment or the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation regarding the development of the guidelines?

(5) If yes to (4), with whom were the discussions and on what dates?

I think I know what the answers will be.

Hon SUE ELLERY replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.

(1)–(5) The person who received this advice was the Premier's principal policy adviser. The PPA neither forwarded nor shared this information with anyone else.
