PERTH FREIGHT LINK FUNDING REALLOCATION
47. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the minister's decision to reallocate funding from the Perth Freight Link to other projects, including Wanneroo Road, the Murdoch Drive connection and Armadale Road. Did these projects go out to tender; and, if not, why not?
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
The projects in question were awarded to the Metropolitan Road Improvement Alliance, the former Roe 8 alliance, as part of the renegotiated contract for the Roe 8 project. This is a similar process to that undertaken by the previous government for the Berkshire interchange project.
