HOME INVASION — MEEKATHARRA — POLICE
RESPONSE TIME
1101. Hon WILSON TUCKER to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to a home invasion incident
that occurred on 20 September in Haveluck Close in Meekatharra, which was
subsequently reported in the Midwest Times on 28 September. It was
reported that police denied that the response time was 45 minutes but declined
to confirm how long it took officers to get to the scene. Can the minister
please confirm the response time?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following information has been provided to me
by the Minister for Police.
Western Australia Police Force
advises that the time from when the call was received to when police arrived at
the incident scene was approximately 28 minutes.
