MINISTERS OF THE CROWN — PERSONAL LEAVE
264. Hon PETER COLLIER to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
(1) Will any ministers be taking personal leave during the midyear parliamentary recess?
(2) If yes, which ministers and what will be the duration of their leave?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Yes. I note that a comparable number of ministers of the Barnett Government took a comparable number of days of leave in the parliamentary recesses of summer 2008 and winter 2013.
(2) The ministers and the durations of their leave are: Premier, 2 to 18 July; Deputy Premier, 24 to 30 July; the fabulous Minister Ellery, 15 to 23 July—I hasten to add that that is not what the Premier wrote in his answer; Minister Dawson, 17 to 30 July; Minister MacTiernan, 3 to 7 July; Minister Logan, 3 to 23 July; Minister Wyatt, 30 June to 14 July; Minister Papalia, 1 to 16 July; Minister Johnston, 1 to 9 July; Minister Saffioti, 30 June to 23 July; Minister McGurk, 27 July to 6 August; and Minister Kelly, 1 to 23 July.
