SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS
1112. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Minister for Education and
Training:
I refer to the answer given on 13
October 2020 to question without notice 1048 regarding school psychologists.
In response to the minister's
answer to part (2) of the question, can the minister provide more detail on the
nature of services provided through each of —
(a) consultancy support to schools
across all school types;
(b) system support and interagency
initiatives; and
(c) other services?

ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(a) Consultancy
support to schools is inclusive of suicide prevention and harmful sexual
behaviours consultation, and disability services and support assessment teams.
(b) System
support and interagency initiatives are inclusive of child and parent centres,
Triple P program coordination and delivery,
supervision of provisionally registered psychologists, suicide prevention
Mental Health Commission–funded positions, graduate induction program
and professional practice support.
(c) Other services include school psychologists
servicing non-government schools in the Kimberley, services to community
kindergartens, and residential and agriculture colleges.
