Question Without Notice No. 899 asked in the Legislative Council on 30 November 2017 by Hon Nick Goiran
Parliament: 40 Session: 1
WORKING WITH CHILDREN (CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKING) ACT 2004 — REVIEW
899. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the minister representing the Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the minister's answer to my question without notice 765, asked and answered on 2 November 2017 in which she informed the house that the government has plans to review the Working With Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004.
(1) When was a decision made by this government to review the Act?
(2) Further to (1), who made that decision?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I think the answer to this question may have been provided when I was away, so I think I am just reading it for the first time. I am not satisfied that I understand the answer properly, so I will withhold it and check it. I will provide the member with an answer next week. He does not need to ask the question again.
