ENROLMENTS
827. Hon ALISON XAMON to the Minister for Education and
Training:
I refer to enrolment numbers at
North Metropolitan TAFE and I ask the minister to please advise the total number
of enrolments at this TAFE for each of —
(1) semester 1, 2017;
(2) semester 2, 2017;
(3) semester 1, 2018; and
(4) semester 2, 2018.

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
The Department of Training and
Workforce Development reports only validated enrolment activity at periodic
intervals that reflect enrolments recorded from the start of the calendar year.
(1) As at 30 June 2017, North
Metropolitan TAFE reported 22 075 publicly funded course enrolments.
(2) As at 31
December 2017, North Metropolitan TAFE reported 30 496 publicly funded course
enrolments.
(3) As at 30 June
2018, North Metropolitan TAFE reported 15 882 publicly funded course
enrolments. It is important to note that the comparability of 2017 and 2018
reported enrolment numbers has been impacted by processing delays associated
with the transition to the new student management system. The delay in entering
enrolments has since been addressed by North Metropolitan TAFE.
(4) Full year validated data as at
31 December 2018 will be available in mid-April 2019.
