(1) Please
table any and all correspondence relating to the Port Hedland election

provide a time line of how many votes were returned on each day during the
polling period.
(3) Will the
minister give an undertaking to investigate that no fraudulent voters were
entered for this election, as happened in the previous Town of Port Hedland
election?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) The Western
Australian Electoral Commission has a large number of documents concerning the
administration of the election conducted for the Town of Port Hedland. If the
honourable member can identify a specific matter, the commission can provide
further details.
(2) The requested information is provided for tabling.
In relation to voting material returned to the commission or the Town of
Port Hedland, the numbers provided to the honourable member reflect voting
packages, not individual votes.
[See paper 4500.]

Australian Electoral Commission has not received any allegations of fraudulent
voting.
