ESPERANCE POWER PROJECT
1047. Hon DIANE EVERS to the minister representing the
Minister for Energy:
(1) Regarding the
existing gas pipeline to Esperance, which is proposed not to be used for the
transportation of gas to the approved new
power station, was any state funding used in its construction; and, if yes, how
much?
(2) Does the
state own the pipeline?
(a) If yes, what
happens to the rights to use if the existing lessee no longer requires its use?
(b) If no, is
there any financial impact on the state government?
(3) How many
additional truck movements are expected to be on the road to cater for the
transportation of gas to Esperance?
(4) What
proportion of the energy at the power station will be generated through gas,
through solar and through wind?
