PATIENT ASSISTED TRAVEL
SCHEME
934. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to Legislative Council
question without notice 815, answered on 13 September 2018, on the patient
assisted travel scheme.
(1) What is the
status of recommendations 1 to 5, 8, 10, and 13 to 18, noting that the
government claims to have addressed the other recommendations?
(2) When was the
fuel and accommodation subsidy last reviewed by the government; and will the
minister please table the review or advice received?
(3) What was the actual cost of PATS
in 2019–20, and what are the projected costs for 2020–21?
(4) Has the
minister sought, or will he seek, additional funding to further enhance PATS in
the near term?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. I note that this question was asked on Tuesday, 15
September, and the answer was current then.
I am advised that the WA Country
Health Service is not able to provide the requested information in the time
required and I therefore ask the honourable member to place this question on
notice.
