I
refer to children and young people currently in Banksia Hill Detention Centre
(Banksia Hill), and I ask:
(a) what
is the current muster;
(b) how
many children and young people are sentenced;
(c) how
many of the children and young people from (b) are in custody as the result of
sentencing under mandatory custodial sentencing provisions;
(d) for
what mandatory sentencing offences are the young people from (c) in custody;
(e) how
many of the unsentenced children and young people in Banksia Hill have been
charged with offences that carry a mandatory custodial sentence; and
(f) will the Minister please advise which offences the children and
young people in (e) have been charged with?
