Question Without Notice No. 585 asked in the Legislative Council on 6 June 2019 by Hon Martin Aldridge

Parliament: 40 Session: 1

ROYALTIES FOR REGIONS — STATE BUDGET 2019–20

585. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Minister for Regional Development:

I refer to budget paper No 3 of the 2019–20 state budget, chapter 7, in relation to the $135 million in budget funding allocated under ''Administered Items''.

(1) Can the minister please identify the state and federal government funding separately by financial year for the life of the expected project?

(2) Can the minister please identify whether any of the projects identified under ''Administered Items'' were subject to election commitments given during the course of the 2019 federal election campaign; and, if so, by whom, and the amount of funding committed?

Hon ALANNAH MacTIERNAN replied:

I thank the member for the question.

(1) The funds were all provided by the state government, so that sum of money refers entirely to state government investment.

(2) The global allocation includes a provision for Collie and Laverton Hospitals. We look forward to the federal government honouring its commitment to Laverton Hospital in full.
