SUICIDE PREVENTION STRATEGY
292. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Mental Health:
I refer to the government's suicide prevention strategy.
(1) Is the strategy age restricted?
(2) If yes to (1), what is the age range that the strategy is restricted to?
(3) Is the strategy restricted to certain geographical areas within the state?
(4) If yes to (3), which geographical areas of Western Australia is the strategy not applicable to?
(5) When was the strategy first endorsed?
(6) What was the date of the last revision to the strategy?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) No.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) No, it is statewide.
(4) Not applicable.
(5) It was on 15 May 2015.
(6) The strategy has been periodically adapted to reflect developments in the emerging suicide prevention evidence-based literature. The most recent adaptation occurred with the launch of the Think Mental Health campaign on 28 November 2017.
