Question Without Notice No. 995 asked in the Legislative Council on 17 September 2019 by Hon Martin Aldridge

Parliament: 40 Session: 1

URGENT CARE CLINICS

995. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:

I refer to the WA Labor election commitment to establish 11 urgent care clinics in Western Australia.

(1) Can the minister guarantee, consistent with the election commitment, that all patients attending an urgent care clinic will be bulk billed?

(2) If not, why has the government deviated from its election commitment?

Hon ALANNA CLOHESY replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.

(1) Patients will have an option to attend a general practitioner urgent care clinic that bulk bills.

(2) Not applicable.
