PUBLIC TRANSPORT AUTHORITY —
CYBERSECURITY
22. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to the briefing note
prepared for the Premier by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet released
under freedom of information that stated —
PTA also engaged a private security
contractor to provide advice and over 80 functional cyber security requirements
are being incorporated into the contract.
(1) Who is the
private security contractor that the Public Transport Authority engaged to
provide the advice?
(2) What was the value of the
contract?
(3) Were all of the 80 functional cybersecurity
components incorporated into the contract; and, if not, why not?
(4) Will the
minister table a list of all of the 80 functional cybersecurity components that
were to be incorporated into the contract; and, if not, why not?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the Leader of the Opposition
for some notice of the question.
(1)–(4) The
Public Transport Authority engaged the services of Security Infrastructure
Solutions. All functional security requirements identified were incorporated
into the radio systems replacement contract in addition to other PTA
cybersecurity requirements. These requirements are in addition to the general
security requirements the PTA already included in the contract.
