Parliamentary Questions

Question Without Notice No. 80 asked in the Legislative Council on 23 May 2017 by Hon Peter Collier

Parliament: 40 Session: 1

MINISTERIAL CODE OF CONDUCT
      80. Hon PETER COLLIER to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I thank the —
Hon Sue Ellery: You're not thanking me.
Hon PETER COLLIER: I am not leader of the government anymore!
Hon Sue Ellery: No.
Hon PETER COLLIER: I will try again. I was just trying to get over that last response; I cannot believe that last response. God, it has already started!
I refer to the Ministerial Code of Conduct.
(1) Will the Leader of the House table the government's Ministerial Code of Conduct?
      (2) Can she confirm that all government ministers have returned the ''Disclosure of Pecuniary and Other Interests'' and ministerial ''Conflicts of Interest'' disclosure, and will she table them?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Yes. I table the document.
[See paper 221.]
      (2) All ministers, parliamentary secretaries and the Parliamentary Secretary of the Cabinet have completed and returned their ministerial disclosure statements as required under the code of conduct. As the honourable member is aware, ministerial disclosure statements under the code of conduct remain cabinet‑in‑confidence. Primary and annual returns under the Members of Parliament (Financial Interests) Act 1992 are, however, made public and tabled in the relevant house of Parliament.
