POLICE — WORKERS' COMPENSATION
      746. Hon CHARLES SMITH to the minister representing the Minister for Police:
I refer to a recent media report, claiming seriously injured police officers are excluded from applying for criminal compensations because the settlements may be too high.
      (1) When is the government going to address the issue of introducing a full workers' compensation package, including provisions to back-capture those already medically retired?
(2) Is this not just another promise that is never going to happen?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following information has been provided by the Minister for Police.
      (1) The McGowan government is continuing to work towards the implementation of our election commitments.
