Question
I refer to the July 2016 Midland Redevelopment Authority Heritage Inventory for the Midland Redevelopment Area and specifically the Place Record Form for the Tuohy Garden site, and I ask:
(a) has an aboricultural survey of the Tuohy Garden area been undertaken;
(b) if yes to (a), what is the outcome of that survey;
(c) if no to (a), why not;
(d) is it intended that the name "Tuohy Garden" be retained in any future development of the original garden;
(e) if no to (d), why not;
(f) is it intended that the area at the intersection of Great Eastern Highway and Helena Street be retained as open space; and
(g) if no to (f), why not?

(a) No
(b) Not applicable
(c) An arboricultural survey will still need to be undertaken by a future land owner to ensure significant trees and plants are identified and conserved as part of the preparation of a development application for this site.
(d) Yes. The Heritage Inventory states that the name Tuohy Gardens should be retained in any future development proposal for the site and any development proposal for the wider site is to recognise the significance of the place through interpretation.
(e) Not applicable
(f) The statutory planning framework identifies the former Tuohy Gardens site for mixed-use development, with a small part of the site at the intersection of Great Eastern Highway and Helena Street shown as open space.
