FORRESTFIELD–AIRPORT
LINK — SOIL CONTAMINATION
920. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to PFAS-contaminated soil
excavated from the Forrestfield–Airport Link and the answer to question
without notice 854 asked by me on 15 August 2019.
(1) Has any soil
from the Forrestfield–Airport Link project been taken directly to any
site other than 777 Abernethy Road, Forrestfield?
(2) If yes, to what sites and in
what volumes?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) Approximately
110 000 cubic metres of soil is stockpiled at a site within Perth Airport.
Approximately 80 000 cubic metres of soil has been used as engineered backfill
within the Forrestfield–Airport Link site.
