SOCIAL HOUSING — DWELLINGS

638. Hon COLIN TINCKNELL to the minister representing the Minister for Housing:

(1) What was the total number of government-owned, supported or operated social housing dwellings as of 30 June 2017?

(2) What is the current total number of government-owned, supported or operated housing dwellings?

(3) How many people were being accommodated in government-owned, supported or operated dwellings as of 30 June 2017?

(4) How many people are currently accommodated in government-owned, supported or operated dwellings?

(5) Are the 250 new government housing dwellings announced by Premier Mark McGowan on 8 June additional to the 300 new public housing units announced by the Premier on 3 December 2019?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me by the Minister for Housing.

In order to provide a response to this question, the Department of Communities will need to undertake research. Therefore, an answer is unable to be provided in the required time frame. We will provide a response to the honourable member on Tuesday, 23 June 2020.
