FRINGE WORLD FESTIVAL —
SPONSORSHIP
1361. Hon TIM CLIFFORD to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Culture and the Arts:
I refer to the positive economic
impact of the Fringe World Festival, particularly the thousands of jobs created
this year alone and the substantial stimulation of the economy.
(1) Will the
minister please explain why this organisation that benefits our communities and
economy so much must rely so heavily on fossil fuel corporation Woodside
Petroleum to make ends meet?
(2) Given that
Fringe World contributes significantly to the economy of the state, will the
minister assist the organisation in sourcing alternative sponsorship funds?

The Fringe World Festival is produced by Artrage Inc, a not-for-profit
organisation. This is a matter for Artrage.
