Question Without Notice No. 46 asked in the Legislative Council on 14 March 2018 by Hon Simon O’Brien

Minister responding: Hon S.M. Ellery
Parliament: 40 Session: 1
Answered on 14 March 2018

MOORA RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE
46. Hon SIMON O'BRIEN to the Minister for Education and Training:
I have a question without notice for the Minister for Education and Training. I did not think she would need notice. I refer to Moora Residential College.
      (1) Is it true that the annual recurrent cost to the WA government to operate this facility, after fees and other income are taken into account, is just over $313 000; and, if not, what is the approximate figure? I know the minister has just answered a very similar question.
Hon Sue Ellery: I do not have it in front of me.
Hon SIMON O'BRIEN: If the minister does not have anything further to answer, the question continues.
(2) How many people are employed at the college?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
(1)–(2) I will see if I have the answer to the second part of the question in front of me. I do not have the answer to the first part in front of me because I just gave it in the answer I provided to Hon Martin Aldridge.
Hon Simon O'Brien: I am aware; it is pure coincidence that the questions are so similar, so we have enough in the first part.
Hon SUE ELLERY: I still have in front of me the collection of material I relied on earlier today and I will flick through that. If I have the answer to the second part about staff numbers, I will give it to the member at the end of question time. If I do not, I will ask the member to put it on notice.
