DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITIES — PAUL WHYTE

1430. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Community Services:

I refer to allegations of corruption against Mr Paul Whyte, former senior public servant at the Department of Communities.

(1) On how many occasions did Mr Whyte act in the role of director general at the Department of Communities?

(2) Who approved the acting periods?

(3) When did these acting periods occur?

Hon SUE ELLERY replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.

(1) It was once.

(2) The director general of the Department of Communities, which at that time was Mr Grahame Searle.

(3) It was from 9 to 27 October 2017.
