442. Hon COLIN de GRUSSA to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Housing:

I refer to Government Regional Officers' Housing, or GROH.

(1) What was the total number of GROH stock as at June 2021?

(2) What is the total waitlist for GROH across all departments as at June 2021?

(3) For (2), will the minister please break down into waitlists for each government department?

(4) In the absence of available GROH stock in a particular location —

(a) what is the course of action to ensure that government regional officers have access to a house; and

(b) what was the total cost to the government for providing alternative accommodation options?

(5) If the Department of Communities does not collect this data or cannot provide a response to any of the above, why can it not do so?

Hon SUE ELLERY replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.

(1) As of 30 June 2021, there were a total of 5 040 GROH properties.

(2) As at 30 June 2021, there were 217 additional requests for GROH housing from client agencies.
