POLICE — FIREARMS CATALOGUE
880. Hon AARON STONEHOUSE to the minister representing the Minister for Police:
I thank the minister for her answer to my recent question, question without notice 837, regarding the outcome of the recent firearms amnesty. Can the minister inform the house how many stolen firearms were recovered as a result of the amnesty and whether those firearms will be returned to their rightful owners?
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. The following information was provided by the Minister for Police. Due to time considerations, the Western Australia Police Force is not able to provide a response to this question within the required time frame. I will provide the answer by the close of the parliamentary sitting year.
