POLICE — KIM TRAVERS
397. Hon MICHAEL MISCHIN to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the minister's response to question on
notice 4830, asked in the Legislative Assembly on 10 April 2019, and
specifically to superintendents in the police custodial services and mental
health division.
(1) How many hours did each actually work?
(2) In those
weeks, did any superintendent not average at least 40 hours of work per week,
as is expected under clause 12(15) of the 2017 industrial agreement; and, if
so, who?
(3) Did any apply
for any annual leave during the period 18 February 2018 to 1 March 2019; and,
if so, who, and for what dates, and when was that leave approved?
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON
replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question. The following answer has been provided to me by the Minister for
Police.
(1)–(3)
The Commissioner of Police has not raised any issue regarding the hours of work
of superintendents. If this is not an exercise in political muckraking and the
member has actual concerns about a superintendent, he should refer those
concerns to the Commissioner of Police.
In relation to the general
questions, the Western Australia Police Force advises information required to
respond to this question is not readily available and cannot be provided within
the required time frame. So, if the member wants that information, I would ask
that he place that question on notice.
