With reference to schedule 1, division 3, clause 17, ''Licence reducing another's entitlement may include condition requiring payment of compensation'' of the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914, has the Minister for Water sought advice from the State Solicitor's Office regarding potential compensation claims payable by either SF Irrigation Co-operative Ltd or the state government because of denial of self-supply water rights in eight sub-catchments of the Donnelly River, and what did the advice say?
Hon ALANNAH MacTIERNAN replied:
I thank the member for some notice of this question. The Minister for Water has provided the following information.
No. No licensed allocations have been removed from self-supply water users in the eight sub-catchments of the Donnelly River.
