Answered on

MURDOCH DRIVE CONNECTION PROJECT
      128. Hon SIMON O'BRIEN to the minister representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Murdoch Drive connection project. On behalf of my constituents residing in localities that rely on Farrington Road as a main access route, I ask the following.
      (1) Is it the case that these residents currently have direct access to the emergency facilities at St John of God and Fiona Stanley Hospitals, to Murdoch University and to other places via Farrington Road and Murdoch Drive?
      (2) Under the government's latest plan for the ironically named Murdoch Drive connection project, what route does the government recommend these residents take to travel to these destinations?
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Yes.
      (2) Residents on Farrington Road can access these locations via Bibra Drive and the Murdoch Drive connection.
