Question Directed to the: Leader of the House representing the Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence
Minister responding: Hon S.F. McGurk
Parliament: 40 Session: 1
I refer to the announcement by this Government that it would be providing its employees experiencing family and domestic violence with access to 10 days paid leave a year, and I ask:
(a) is that entitlement to leave documented in the form of a policy, procedure or similar; and
(b) if yes to (a), will the Minister table the document(s) comprising the policy, procedure or equivalent?
Answered on 12 September 2017
(a) - (b) The McGowan Labor Government made a strong commitment to the prevention of family and domestic violence during the election campaign, as indicated by the Premier’s Circular 2017/07 Family and Domestic Violence – Paid Leave and Workplace Support. The Government is focussed on delivering its commitments and is currently working through the budget process to do so.
