Question
I
refer to the recent announcement of the Mid West Ports Authority (MWPA)
relating to $101,907 in community grants, and I ask:
(a) what are the names of the
committee members that formed the committee and decided on the allocation of
funds;
(b) what was the allocation of
the grants for the following years:
(i) 2017-18;
(ii) 2018-19;
(iii) 2019-20; and
(iv) 2020-21; and
(c) can the Minister provide a
full list of community groups that applied for funding that weren’t successful
and the amount of funds allocated to each community group that was successful?

- Mid West Ports Authority (MWPA) Community Grants applications are assessed and early recommendations made by a committee of MWPA staff, including:
- Vickie Williams, General Manager Sustainability, Culture and People
- Damian Tully, General Manager Operations and Landside Operations
- Carrie Young, Senior Communications Officer
- Paula Hopkins, Trade Officer
- Kathryn Wade, Safety Officer
- Letitia Busniak, Communications Officer
- Lara Tuffley, Environmental Officer
All submitted applications and committee recommendations are then reviewed by the Executive Management Team before a final decision is made.
Applications exceeding $10,000 require approval by the MWPA Board. A report is provided to the Board at every board meeting with a status of the community grants program.
