REHABILITATION PROGRAMS
845. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the minister representing the
Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to the $4.695 million
allocated in the budget to improved access to rehabilitation programs, and the
minister's previous confirmation that this funding has been allocated
to a new project commencing 1 July 2019, which will provide a range of
programs, including programs for family violence.
(1) How many programs are part of
this project?
(2) What are the names of these
programs?
(3) Who is delivering these
programs?
(4) Which of these programs have
commenced?
(5) Further to (4), in which prisons
are these programs being offered?
(6) Is there a mechanism in place
for assessing the efficacy of these programs?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following information has been provided by the
Minister for Corrective Services.
(1) The project is at the
implementation planning stage and, accordingly, this is yet be determined.
(2)–(5) Please see the
answer to (1).
(6) The new
programs will be rigorously monitored and evaluated, and the funding includes
an allocation for this purpose.
