DEPARTMENT OF PRIMARY INDUSTRIES AND REGIONAL
DEVELOPMENT —REDUNDANCIES AND RESIGNATIONS
745. Hon JIM CHOWN to the Minister for Regional Development:
(1) Will the
minister please disclose how many employees of the Department of Primary
Industries and Regional Development have
left the department since 11 March 2017, either through accepting redundancy
or by resignation?
(2) Please list the positions held
by the DPIRD employees prior to their departure from the department.
Hon
ALANNAH MacTIERNAN replied:
Thank you, member.
(1) The
Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development was formed on 1 July
2017. As it was the merger of three agencies, there were opportunities for
efficiencies in some areas, such as corporate services.
Since the time of the creation of the department, 181 employees have resigned
and a further 175 employees have accepted voluntary redundancies.
(2) I table the list.
