(2) Of those referred to in (1), how many school health nurses, by headcount and full-time equivalent, are permanently based in —

(b) public secondary schools?

(3) What was the total funding allocated for the provision of school health nurses in government schools in —

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.

(1) For the Child and Adolescent Health Service, the headcount is 276 and the full-time equivalent is 162.70.

For the WA Country Health Service, WACHS is unable to provide a precise headcount as the community health nursing full-time equivalent is allocated flexibly, based on regional and local service demands. In some country areas, these FTE will also provide a range of services including child health, chronic disease and immunisations. The FTE is 93.86.

(2) For the Child and Adolescent Health Service —

(a) For public primary schools, the headcount is 142, and the FTE is 92.7.

(b) For public secondary schools, the headcount is 134 and the FTE is 70.

For the WA Country Health Service —

(a) For public primary schools, WACHS is unable to provide a precise headcount as the community health nursing FTE is allocated flexibly based on regional and local service demands. The FTE is 63.81.

(b) For public secondary schools, WACHS is unable to provide a precise headcount as the community health nursing FTE is allocated flexibly based on regional and local service demands. The FTE is 30.05.

(3) For the Child and Adolescent Health Service —

(a) for 2018–2019, it is $18 567 883; and

(b) for 2019–2020, it is $17 452 145.

For the WA Country Health Service —

(a)–(b) WACHS is unable to respond in the time frame provided and will respond as soon as practicable.
