MINISTER FOR REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT — EARLY
VOTING CENTRE VISIT
470. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the minister's attendance at a pre-polling
centre this morning in support of Labor's candidate for Stirling.
(1) Did the minister's transportation to the
pre-polling centre involve her conveyance by a motor vehicle provided by
the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and was the vehicle driven by a departmental
employee?
(2) Was the
minister accompanied by any public servants during her visit to the pre-poll
centre; and, if so, who and why?
Hon ALANNAH MacTIERNAN
replied:
(1)–(2)
I was not driven to the pre-poll centre in a government car or by a government
official. Indeed, I think I am quite entitled to attend a pre-poll. I think I was
collected from the pre-poll by one of my staffers so that I could go
immediately to an official event at the Royal Agricultural Society.
Several members interjected.
