BROOME TROPICAL AQUACULTURE PARK
402. Hon KEN BASTON to the minister representing the Minister for Fisheries:
(1) Can the minister confirm that the fee per kilolitre charged to tenants of the Broome Tropical Aquaculture Park is charged on a cost recovery basis and does not add to revenue?
(2) Will the Minister for Fisheries commit to reviewing the infrastructure and costs associated with providing sea water to tenants of the Broome Tropical Aquaculture Park in an effort to reduce this significant cost burden on a fledgling industry?

(1) Yes.
(2) Yes. The government is committed to growth in the aquaculture industry and will work to remove, where possible, any barriers to growth in this industry.
