WESTERN AUSTRALIAN PORT OPERATIONS TASKFORCE — MEETINGS

678. Hon PETER COLLIER to the Minister for Ports:

I ask this question on behalf of Hon Simon O'Brien, who is on urgent parliamentary business.

I refer to my question asked on Thursday, 18 June 2020.

(1) Did any person from the Fremantle Port Authority or the Western Australian Port Operations Taskforce discuss with the minister or any member of the minister's staff the decision to cease publishing the minutes of the WA Port Operations Taskforce meetings?

(2) If yes to (1), who was involved in those discussions?

(3) Was the decision to cease publishing minutes of the meetings a result of any form of direction or strong suggestion by the minister's office?

Hon ALANNAH MacTIERNAN replied:

(1) No, not to my knowledge.

(2) Not applicable.

(3) No. I have suggested to the Fremantle Port Authority and the chair of the WA Port Operations Taskforce that they resume publishing meeting minutes.
