GST DISTRIBUTION —
IRON ORE PRICE
1502. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Treasurer:
I refer to the answer to my
question without notice 1477 asked on 28 November on the 2019 mini boom of iron
ore royalties.
(1) Will the
minister ask the Treasurer to review the full video of the evidence given by
Treasury to the Legislative Council estimates committee on 13 November this
year, so that when the minister has to correct the record in relation to the
misrepresentation of my comments on the government's economic
performance in those estimates, he can also actually answer questions without
notice 1362 and 1400?
(2) If not, will the Treasurer be
providing any genuine answers to economic questions from now on?
The PRESIDENT: I am not too
sure —

The PRESIDENT: We will just let everyone calm down. We
have plenty of time. It is only question time. Is there a difficulty with
providing that answer or has it been asked of the wrong minister?

STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I have an answer provided by the
Treasurer, but I am just reading it now. Hon Dr Steve Thomas asked me to ask
the Treasurer to review video. I do not think that is an appropriate question
to ask a representing minister, but I will provide the answer anyway. I think
that part is out of order, but certainly the second part is. The answer provided
by the Treasurer is as follows.
(1) No.
(2) Genuine answers will be provided
at such times that genuine questions are asked.
