INDUSTRIAL MANSLAUGHTER

representing the Minister for Commerce and Industrial Relations:
(1) Will a future
work health and safety bill introducing an industrial manslaughter offence
equally protect persons who are not employees and people who are employees?
(2) Will a future
work health and safety bill introducing an industrial manslaughter offence
equally apply penalties to senior public servants and ministers and to
directors of companies?

(1)–(2) The
government is currently considering introducing industrial manslaughter in the
future work health and safety bill.
