STALLS
410. Hon COLIN HOLT to the minister representing the
Minister for Racing and Gaming:
I refer to the new stalls completed
at Pinjarra paceway in December 2018.
(1) Why is there a delay in opening
the new stalls?
(2) How much was spent on the new
stalls and how much of the budget remains?
(3) If funds
remain, what is the intention of Racing and Wagering Western Australia for the
leftover funds?
(4) If further
works are required, when can the Pinjarra Harness Racing Club expect these to
be completed?

I thank the member for the question.
The following information has been provided by the Minister for Racing and
Gaming.
(1) The delay in
opening of stalls is due to a delay in the completion of the car park. The
requirement to redesign the stormwater treatment from the car park has caused a
delay in construction.
(2) The total project cost $3 110 744
and no moneys will be remaining once the car park is completed.
(3) Not applicable.
(4) The works will be completed by
the end of May 2019.
