EARLY CHILDHOOD INITIATIVE
      123. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Community Services:
I refer to the minister's media release on 13 March 2018 entitled ''$49.3 million investment into early childhood initiative''.
      (1) In keeping with the government's claim of gold-standard transparency, will the minister table a list of which departments' existing funding will be utilised, the amounts harvested from each department over the 10-year period and a list detailing any existing programs or services that have been cut or will cease in order to fund the $24.6 million state government commitment from existing funding?
(2) If yes to (1), when?
(3) If no to (1), why not?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) There are no plans to cut or cease existing programs and services in the Department of Communities, the Department of Education and the Department of Health to fund the early years initiative.
