1206. Hon CHARLES SMITH to the Minister for Education and
Training:
My question is entirely without
notice. I refer to the 350.org rally at Parliament House on Friday, 30 November.
(1) Does the
minister support this rally, which has encouraged children to go on strike—that
is, walk out of school and attend this rally?
(2) Does the
minister support the indoctrination of children by extreme left-wing groups
such as GetUp!, which are involved in this rally?

(1)–(2) I
can answer the second part. I do not support the indoctrination of children by
anybody.
As regards the first part of the
answer, I do not know what the member is talking about, so if the member wants
to place the question on notice, I will give him an answer.
