CITY OF MELVILLE —
INQUIRY
1250. Hon SIMON O'BRIEN to the Leader of the House representing the
Minister for Local Government:
Further to my questions in June,
August and September, I again refer to the Department of Local Government,
Sport and Cultural Industries–authorised inquiry into the City of
Melville and ask with admirable optimism but little confidence —
(1) Has the report of the inquiry
been completed; and, if so, when?
(2) Has the
Minister for Local Government or his office received the report or a draft of
the report; and, if so, when?
(3) Has the
government sought legal advice from the Solicitor-General on the draft report;
and, if so, when?
Hon SUE
ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of his question.
(1)–(2) No.
(3) Is the member ready? The draft
report is with the State Solicitor's Office for review.
Hon Simon O'Brien: So
the government has received the report.
Hon SUE ELLERY: The draft
report is with the State Solicitor's Office for review.
