I refer to the Minister's answer to question without notice 1016 on 18 September 2019, regarding the Pilbara District Leadership Group (PDLG), and I ask:
(a) will the Minister please list the dates and location the PDLG has met since 18 November 2015;
(b) will the Minister please list the dates and names of, and reasons for, any group management changes since the 2017 state election;
(c) what key performance indicators or targets are in place to measure the PDLG's performance of its functions; and
(d) how many times has the group directly engaged with the Newman community since July 2017?

(b) The Chairs of the Pilbara District Leadership Group (PDLG) have been:

  • Department of Communities: from November 2015 until January 2019;
  • Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries: from January 2019 to present.

      In 2019, the group confirmed the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries as the new chair in accordance with its terms of reference and as part of a normal rotation of chairing arrangements.

(c)  The PDLG, like others across the State, is expected to lead local progress towards the twelve targets established under the Our Priorities: Sharing Prosperity program.

(d)  The PDLG hosted meetings in Newman on 1 August 2018 and 10 October 2019. The PDLG has engaged closely with the Newman community in the preparation and post meeting stages, with
      group members also regularly engaging with organisations and individuals in Newman as part of their day-to-day roles.
