FIREARMS
— MINISTERIAL WORKING GROUP
120. Hon RICK MAZZA to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the response to my question without notice 15
asked on 4 May 2021 on the Law Reform Commission's firearms reform ministerial
working group. The response stated that the McGowan Labor government is
committed to progressing firearms reform in Western Australia and will continue
to consult with key stakeholders during the reform process.
Is it the minister's intention to retain the firearms
reform ministerial working group as a consultative stakeholder to work through
the Law Reform Commission's recommendations; and, if not, why not?
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON
replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
The following information has been provided to me by the Minister for Police.
Key stakeholders will be consulted during the reform process.
