BROOME PORT — DREDGING
941. Hon KEN BASTON to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to the channel optimisation project scheduled for the
port of Broome.
(1) Has a dredging
contractor been appointed to this project?
(2) If yes to
(1), is a date set for the dredging work to commence?
(3) If no to
(2), why not?
(4) Is it
expected that the channel optimisation project will be completed in the fourth
quarter of 2018, as per the answer to question without notice 749 asked on 1
November 2017?

The Kimberley Ports Authority has selected a preferred contractor and time
lines will be determined as part of the ongoing procurement process.
