POLICE — RANDOM BREATH TESTS — POWIS STREET
      662. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the Minister for Police:
      (1) Can the minister advise the three most recent occasions a booze bus was placed near the Powis Street exit off the Mitchell Freeway?
      (2) On each occasion, how many breath tests were undertaken and how many drug tests were undertaken?
(3) On each occasion, how many positive tests were returned for alcohol and for drugs?
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the Leader of the Opposition for some notice of the question.
(1) The three most recent dates are 6 October 2017, 17 December 2016 and 22 October 2016.
      (2) On 6 October 2017, there were 671 random breath tests and 179 roadside drug tests. On 22 October 2016, there were 913 random breath tests and 45 roadside drug tests. On 17 December 2016, there were 3 030 random breath tests and 34 roadside drug tests.
      (3) On 6 October 2017, there were three positive random breath tests and two positive roadside drug tests. On 22 October 2016, there were five positive random breath tests and one positive roadside drug test. On 17 December 2016, there were 19 positive random breath tests and two positive roadside drug tests.
