CORONAVIRUS — RAPID ANTIGEN TESTS
684. Hon JAMES HAYWARD to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the procurement of rapid
antigen test kits by the Department of Health for use in the public health
system.
(1) What is the
total number and total value of RAT kits purchased by the Department of Health
as at 30 June 2022?
(2) In relation to the RAT kits procured by the
Department of Health referred to in (1), can the minister provide the
following detail —
(a) what number
of each RAT kit variant was ordered and what were the names of those variants;
(b) on what date were they ordered;
and
(c) from which supplier were they
ordered?
(3) Were the RAT
kits ordered by the Department of Health a subset of the 110.7 million RAT kits
that were announced by the state government in February 2022?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
(1) The WA health system has purchased 85 728 650 rapid
antigen tests at a cost of $441 569 305.
